“The wine region of McLaren Vale sits within the Fleurieu Peninsula, one of South Australia’s most beautiful tourist destinations. Just 45 minutes South from the Vale is Langhorne Creek with its ever growing reputation for wine growing. The primary source of fruit for this wine is from vineyards owned by some very close friends of ours. We have been sourcing fruit from these blocks for over 20 years now and they keep getting better each year.” – Geoff Merrill
The colour is a deep red with blood red and purple hues. The aroma shows lots of Cabernet lift and spice with plenty of ripe red berry fruits. The Shiraz also comes through strongly, complementing the nose with black cherry, licorice and hints of menthol.
The palate is bright and fresh with a balanced mid weight mouthfeel, clean primary fruit and a long finish ending on a fruity herbal note.
